FORMULA 1 racer Charles Pic has made an appearance in London with a Lotus Formula 1 car, ahead of London’s first ever ‘Race Week’ festival. The Frenchman posed for photos close to Tower Bridge, where he was joined by a ‘London Royal Guard’ and a small boy, who was only too happy to stand in the Lotus for his own picture. Land Rover publicly unveiled its redesigned 2013 Range Rover five-seat SUV in London on Thursday, with less weight and better fuel economy than its predecessors thanks in large part to a new all-aluminum unibody structure--the first of its kind in an SUV, according to Land Rover. The company also announced that European Range Rover buyers will get a diesel hybrid option. The Range Rover hybrid will pair a 3.0-liter diesel engine with a 35kw electric motor.

Sebastian Vettel puts his Red Bull on pole position for tomorrow’s F1 Grand Prix in Bahrain – the first Red Bull poll of 2012. After two years of Red Bull dominance in F1 – in particular by world champion Sebastian Vettel – the 2012 F1 season has been a bit of a shambles so far for the Red Bulls – certainly by their usual standards. But it looks like we may be back to business as normal in Bahrain with a pole position for Red Bull by Sebastian Vettel with team mate Mark Webber right behind him on the grid in third place.
